*Waving* Happy Holidays! Christmas is approaching and I’m excited! I LOVE Christmas! Do you like it too? Cool.

At a recent meeting I attended for work, a council meeting, the leader wanted to have a warm-up activity. She asked us all one question and asked us all to consider how we would answer. The question was:

“If you were a car, what kind of car would you be?”

This was not about what kind of car you would pick or what kind of car you like, but rather, we were to think of ourselves as a car and think what kind of car we are.

I thought, “Oh…. hmmmm…” and pondered this a while as I listened to all the people share their thoughts around the room. Finally it was my turn. I realized I would be the same kind of car I already have. I have a Toyota Van.

That car is really an extension of my personality. How?

It’s big. I like to be big. I’m not a small person. I make sure I’m heard and I like attention. I like to be seen. ;)

It has lots of room for people, as I do. Friends, family are all welcome inside my life. I have lots of room.

It also has space away from others and everything else. Sometimes I need to be alone and away from others. Occasionally, I need my own elbow room.

It has room for my own things. Like a turtle shell, it has a place to store the things I need to take along with me in life. I am self sufficient.

Inside, like me, it’s flexible. It can lay this way or that way, or both ways, or fold under or get rid of things no longer needed. It’s adjustable.

Outside, like me, it’s firm, strong and sturdy.

Toyota, itself, is a reliable brand name. You can depend on that kind of car. It doesn’t break down on you a lot. It’s strong.

Would the kind of car I would be be flashy or fancy? Nah. Just a regular, neutral color, a warm earth-tone kind of color.

Inside, my seats are soft and comfortable.

A also want some privacy in my life. So in my car of self, I can see through the windshield in front and the two windows on the sides, but in the back, there is more privacy. My windows have a sun block. It’s more private further back. I would not be the kind of car that is wide open and reveals everything, but just enough in front. ;) I need that balance.

That’s the kind of car I would be. What about you? If you could be any kind of car, what kind of car are you?

C’mon, share.

Bye (ILY wave)

Oh my goodness this is thought provoking. I think my car also reflects my personality, and I would also be a toyota, but not a van. Why? Well it’s funny– I have a small Toyota Camry. I have owned five Toyotas over the years. I find them to be very reliable and I think of myself as steady and reliable too. The Toyota Camry is a practical car, does not cost a lot to run, and is environmentally friendlier than a lot of other cars on the road. I am big on recycling, and using less. I like smaller things. I like my space cozy, not too open. Interesting topic!

    Thanks for playing, Kim. :)
