Thanks Deb Ann. My mom is very fond of trees. I gave her a tree-themed birthday gift recently for her birthday on Aug. 4th. She’s a great mother. Strong and well rooted, nurturing and protecting. She is my shelter in many ways.
My Goodness! how absolutely breathtaking, where did you find those pictures? I just finished re-matting and hanging the “Mother Tree pic you give me. I put it next to the “Laughing Tree” photo you gave several yrs ago. I know the grand children have their tree names, but my memory fails me, did I ever give you one? If not I will come up with yours as well as Martin and Toots. YOU are so special, Thank you, Love Mom

awww beautiful trees Mom!!! My dad always says to me when I wake up in the morning.. “go hug a tree!!!” Ever since that has been in my head.. when I was up in Vancouver on my way to Alaska I had to run and hug that huge beautiful tree and a picture was taken! In Memory of my good ol’ Papa Bear!
My name is LaRonda Zupp, and I am Deaf. Welcome to "The Ear of My Heart."
The title of my blog comes from the opening verse of St. Benedict’s prologue, which tells us to ‘listen carefully and attend with the ear of our hearts.’ St. Benedict was a saint who urged us to listen within the depths of our soul, keeping ourselves attentive to wisdom that comes from the voice within, and inclining our hearts toward deeper understanding.
My blog title is not about “ears” or “hearing” or being able to “hear clearly,” the way hearing people can hear sound. It is about listening with PURE LOVING ATTENTION to what people are really communicating. This is what it means to me to listen and blog with ‘the ear of my heart.’
How sweet! I’m sure that your mom loves those pictures you posted for her!
