Thanks for the smile of the weekend! I agree, DeafRead seems a bit sleepy lately. Hope more bloggers get in on the action!

Since the v/bloggers have disappeared the Deafread, they have joined Casper’s bandwagon. I’m still here and just told Casper to read yours.
Nice to see love and hate b/vloggers to be around……
Paotie? He’s a very, very naughty and bad boy but he’s busy working on his dissertation. About doing what? His famous pink snowboarding!

LaRonda…
WOW! That was awesome. Beautifully written, very creative, and made me feel incredibly nostalgic. I miss everyone too. As for my blog, right now I’m collaborating on a book with two friends. The demands of my job and fatherhood means something has to give, and for now that mean Drolz Uncensored is Drolz On Hold.
Thanks again for the inspiration. Can’t wait to dive back into the blogosphere again someday!
Best regards,
Drolz

I loved this as there were many Vlogs/blogs I didn’t know about so I really appreciated the poem for sharing this links. Again thank you LaRonda!
I just wished that many like you had the email subscription link since I prefer to be emailed when one adds a topic. I haven’t learned that ‘feed’ button nor do I have the time to check every single one. I don’t visit the Deaf Read site nor Blog site that many are members to.

Laronda,
Good One!
I enjoyed it very much.
It’s a shame freedom has been twisted so bad that money and occupation have to take away people’s right to think and express freely.
SHHHH.
Shut up dude or it’s your job.
It’s a shame we’ve made tp out of our first amendment right because we have our necks in a noose called money.
????
Again, Laronda, Enjoyed it mucho.
Jeff.

This poem blew my mind and heart - made me go pitter-patz.
If the poem was printed on paper, it won’t be the same without the links.
An unique new literary piece of work reflecting our changing and better lives as deaf people.
Imagine all DeafRead almost 25 thousand posts with mini first few sentences cutoffs all printed on paper and bound it. The product will be a remarkable document of a segment of the deaf community. And your poem forever will be enshrined in the book, probably one of the highest.
I hope Taylor and Jared printed the lists and bound it before they can be erased away. Imagine a book of DeafRead posts (both the list and/OR the actual content inside all the blogsites). If need volunteering in editing and picking the gems, I can help throw few pennies into it. Few bloggers like you, LaRonda, can throw in their pennies too. Print in tiny but readable format comes up with how many pages? And a web-version list where printed words and actual signs are selected. DeafRead could have a page/category in the DeafRead website. “Gems of DeafRead”. Maybe everyone mentioned here can pick one (or two) and send to you LaRonda? Something on our hands to ponder of. This could lead to a lasting tribute to DeafRead because of how it molded the world deaf community and became a part of our current deaf lives.
With the book/website, our deaf words (and later signs) no longer gone with the cruel wind of time.
LaRonda, I close with a challenge. Can you sign the poem? I can imagine myself trying to do that, probably with different results. Will the poem be ever signed out? Someday . . . One tantalizing possibility - Would we be able to add links associated the names signed on the videoscreen so viewers can click on them and be transported to the actual blogsites. The technology has not yet arrived. Someday someday . . .
Thank you LaRonda for this poem causing me to make those comments - wow
- my hands ear-on-heart -

Not to rain on anyone’s parade, but one reason is patently obvious. DeafRead has become toxic to many of us. I, and almost everyone I know, don’t check it anymore. I only learned of this entry after the only person I know who reads DeafRead told me about it. We need a new safe harbor.
That said, your poem was moving.

howdy!
someone referred me to this. Great job. Great gentle poke. Observer said it right. The audist toxicity went out of control and it has its consequences. But I am not “nowhere”, smile. Been “everywhere” except I guess my own vlogsite. haha.
However, from what I have seen and experienced during my “vlog silence” is this:
The movement is still very much alive! And it’s gone beyond DeafRead. Yipee yipee yahoooooooo!!!!
Thanks for this poem…poems are great ways to focus on issue using carefully selected words/signs to make the point. You did super here!
hugs. Ella
