The rosy, globular orb that rides on the nose of clowns…
The bulbous, rubbery flesh of a polar bear’s ruddy toy…
The dome of a band of crimson winter berries hanging in a cluster…
The elliptical curve of scarlett lips painted with the blush of desire…
The ample, flaming expanse of the rounded earth…
The plump, rouge, pudgy belly of a Christmas Cardinal…
The royal-red sheen from a spherical ornament painted with decorative curls…
This will be my last color post for the year. There are families and friends to visit, shopping to do, gifts to wrap, festivities to enjoy and some peaceful, inner-silence to be had that will take me away from the computer for a while. We all need a break now and then.
Don’t forget to make your nominations and cast your votes for DeafRead’s v/blog awards. The deadline is Jan. 6th, 2008!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!

When I was 9 years old, I was at UCSF participating in an evaluation experiment for Deaf children that many others also took part in, and we were videotaped. In one scenario, there was a gum machine during one of the tapings, I put in a token to get a gum ball, because I was anxious to see what color the gum ball that came out would be.
Click, clang, out popped a lusciously fat gum ball.
I said, “IT’S RED!”
For years, a friend of mine joked with me after seeing that video, he would mimic me and copy exactly how I acted in the video, because my face lighted up, my eyebrowns arched all the way up to my hair, my eyes became so wide, I gasped and cried out, “It’s REd!”
Note: The dazzling display of red in the photos was impeccably shown. Great job of displaying the pure hue of Red. I have never seen any other blogger display all of the colors in such a manner that resembles heaven. It makes me in the mood to eat maraschino cherries. I will order Shirley Temple tomorrow, it’s my birthday.
And it’s RED!

La Ronda,
You sure had been doing a wonderful job with posting color poems. A very interesting concept! I might try my hand at those.
I’m glad to finally be responding to your blogs since I was having trouble getting access somehow.
Everytime I typed something in the comment box, it instantly disappears as if I was on one of those prevention list. Anyways, I think your insights are beautiful and definitely appealing to the eye.
