Journey… (Remaining open to new discoveries about my Deaf self as I move forward in my journey of Deafhood…)
Flourish… (Smiling at the flourish of waving hands using ASL which allows my mind to grow, my horizons to broaden and my social world to expand…)
Receive… (Receiving the gems of wisdom as I learn to accept others as they are, while embracing who I am turning out to be…)
Change… (Knowing that change is a constant companion, being willing to invite her into my life and learn how to live with her as my friend…)
Unfold… (Learning to remain comfortable in my own skin as I unfold and discover more new parts of me…)
Open… (Being open to the tangy flavor of possibility by embracing myself as “Deaf” rather than the sour flavor of deficit by identifying myself as “hearing-impaired”…)
Thrive… (Vowing not to use labels that deteriorate, fade, or shrink my heart, but rather use those that allow me to bloom, develop, grow, mature, progress, prosper, succeed, bear fruit and thrive…)
Aspire… (Aspiring to become the best Deaf person I can be…)

Green is such a vibrant color, it represents life. The pictures truly brings the illlumination of the color green which happens to be one of my favorite colors. When I was a little boy, I dressed up as Peter Pan for Halloween, with bright green costume that my mother tailored herself. I felt like Peter Pan, with “green dust” sprinkling like magic. Green made me feel so handsome wearing that color in Peter Pan’s iconic costume. I felt like I jumped out of a fairy tales book into a live person. When I see the greenest grass, I know that person really takes care of his property really well. When I fly in airplanes, when I look out of the window, I am looking for how green the landscape is. I have brown eyes, but sometimes I wish I had green eyes! Recently last spring, in SF I noticed a lot of people wearing shamrock green, with cool styles. Green does capture the imagination of people. Even if Heaven has transparent gold streets, I know there are trees there with green as a very rich color. I guarantee you we will see the color green in Heaven as we never seen on earth. And I can’t wait!
